Closing out a month and gearing up for another one includes the anticipation of new challenges and opportunities to be part of great and small, easy and hard things that life tosses at us. Are we ready for every thing that presents itself in subtle or direct ways? Ways that leave you bewildered and in ways that are enriching and make you grow in the direction of a mature, evolving citizen of the world. Creating excellence in quiet yet important gestures of respect to replenish what we might take for granted by simply being good, fair and just.

What a life a wonderful life it was. You remain locked and loaded in places where God's amazing grace dwells. The peace you know now is beyond complete understanding and a constant endeavor for us here. To have lived such a good life and accomplish things in a way that leaves others missing you, wanting more of you, your good humor and loyalty to family and friends, the resolve to contribute to the quality of life for those you care about is remembered respectfully and with love. The great moments bursting with laughter, sarcasm, razor sharp wit, the special and seemingly mundane days and nights come to mind often. Another month on it's way out as a fresh batch of new nights and days await. Let's go! Whatcha got, September? Each 24 hour span of time holds surprises and the predictable. Predictability has it's merits per structure in daily life. When to come and go, stay, leave, retreat, rev-up your engine in anticipation of things to come ushers in another round of possibilities. Bring it on, the blessings, the beautiful big hearted ones with tender hearts and tough resolve to make life more livable and lovable, let's go!

Let's go for the gusto, the goodness, the wonder and wildly mysterious way's and means of life. The ups, down, in's and out's that make you think and question and be thankful for the comfortable, the cozy warmth, cool things, love, the care of others that can easily be overlooked and taken for granted. To stop and consider what freedom, peace, joy is ours is to be aware of things in life that is out of reach for countless people who pray for such priceless things.

FREE

To be Free is to be unencumbered. To have the freedom to be who you are without the judgement or disrespect of others is quite a wonderful thing. To be able to move about, to think for yourself and live a life that is without oppression or constraint is a privilege not bestowed on everyone. To practice your personal practices without interference from anyone is rich and something many people only dream of. 

To come and go here and there, do what you please anytime, anyplace with or without anyone are gifts that not everyone is allowed.  Countless variables like opportunities or lack of, upbringing, choices and fate. The air and light where freedom reigns or is absent varies and is seen and felt immediately. It can weigh heavy or be easy and easy to take for granted to remember it is not a given to everyone, everywhere. 

To live freely is to be blessed beyond measure, to appreciate freedom is to acknowledge something precious that tens of thousands of people have died to gain or protect and something many people might not ever be granted.

Thankfully

Another month another several days and weeks full of surprises and the predictable, the things we look forward to or dread. Another series of days and weeks that spill over to the next as each experience, event, activity, moment follows the next and the next in a mostly orderly manner. It's those moments that seem chaotic, out of control or overwhelming when one does well to simply stop, catch your breath, breathe, walk, talk or not, cry, pray, reflect on matters that are not so hard to get a hold of and reconcile, find peace in life's madness and sadness. 

Thankfully, as we remember to count blessings that make our travel mug run over. To be led by appreciation is to be blessed with the capacity to pull ourselves up and out of any darkness that pulls us down, enough for us to feel defeated and depleted. Thankfully, we know how to seek and find the light, the peace, joy, comfort, consolation in the mysteries that cause doubt and despair. In the final analysis, the more gratitude one harbors the more calm the nervous system is. 🧐

Certain Call

One or several things, thoughts, this and that to feel, see, take in and experience, like sunrise and sunset, a new moon growing into a big glowing thing occurs. The mixes, remixes and matches of people and places we can't imagine but we know are there, flash before our eyes.

The heart breaks and swells with warmth while the aches and pains stand in the wings awaiting their frequent curtain call. 

It helps to know yesterday is what was even as it still breathes a little life into today, hopefully in a refreshing way. 

We set our sights on new days and nights ahead, hopeful of goodness, peace, comfort, calm in the middle of the ugliness that dark forces would rather interrupt. It is in our favor to focus on the beauty, breath and depth of the wonders and miracles that surround us. 

Things that soothe our nervous system rather than aggravate and disturb us to the core.
